Double shooting in south London
Two men have been left seriously injured following a double shooting in south London.
A 22-year-old victim was shot in the back in Chipley Street, New Cross, at about 1420 BST on Friday.
Less than an hour later, another man was targeted on the Bells Garden Estate in Peckham. The conditions of both men are described as life-threatening.
Two men have been arrested over the Peckham incident. Police said it was unclear if the shootings were linked.
Officers from Operation Trident - which tackles gun crime in the black community - are investigating both incidents

These two murderers for the next 30 years will enjoy a life, with a few well balanced meals per day, with an unlimited access to medical care etc etc on the cost of the British taxpayers.
A small portion of the income tax paid by the victim's relatives (including children whose fathers were murdered by these two ) will financially support these thugs prison's life.

Two men who murdered two of their mugging victims in separate robberies have been jailed
for at least 30 years
.
South Africans Gabriel Benghu, 27, and Jabu Mbowane, 26, both of Court Road, Whitmore Reans, Wolverhampton, were also found guilty of seven robberies.
Neil Williams, 41, died in Telford, Shropshire, and Andrew Owen, 42, died in Sedgley, West Midlands last April.
The judge at Wolverhampton Crown Court also recommended the men be deported after serving their life sentences.
Passing sentence, Mr Justice Goldring said he was satisfied the two men chose their victims because they perceived them to be in some way vulnerable.
Mr Williams and Mr Owen were killed within a 10- day period in April 2007.
Neil Williams and Andrew Owen were mugged near their homes
Both men were walking home from a night out at their local pubs when they were grabbed around the neck and robbed.
Benghu and Mbowane had admitted mugging the two men, who were attacked near their homes,
but denied intending the kill them
.
Benghu was found guilty of two counts of murder and Mbowane of one count of murder.
A third defendant, Kashia Allen, 22, of Crosby Close, Wolverhampton, was cleared of murdering Mr Owen but found guilty of his manslaughter and of seven robberies.
The men will be sentenced later, after the judge ordered reports to be compiled.
Benghu and Mbowane are known to have entered the UK legally, but their visas had expired by the time of the murders and other muggings
